Bungalow: Special draft beers on the road
During our bicycling trip around Kyoto we ended up here after 30 km, and it suited our needs perfectly. It seemed like they had just opened and we were the only one there. The staff welcomed us and explained a bit about the beers. As usual we both went for a Japanese beer.
While you at the ground floor sit at small tables or oil drums there is a possibility to sit at bigger tables on the second floor in case you want something to eat.
I think Bungalow is a nice place, and I would visit it a lot if it was near my house. The beer is good, the stff is very friendly and helpful, the prices are not too expensive for special beers. 900¥ for a pint and 600¥ for a half. They always have 10 different beers on tab, and the selection is changed out often, which I like. It just gives an excuse to try all the beers before they change again.

Bungalow is located on the side of a busy road where you can sit and watch all the people walking by. The design is simple and it is clear that the beer is in focus here. You can also get some snacks or small plates with food. We only got beers, and they were good. They have both Japanese and foreign draft beers, but not the usual boring such as Budweiser, Heiniken, Carlsberg and Foster
