Za Watami: I found my new favourite Izakaya.......and it's everywhere.
The first time I visited this Izakaya was together with my friend in Kyoto. We were searching for an Izakaya with a big menu with pictures, and found Za watami. A chain of Izakayas all over Japan. They are everywhere. Unfortunately there is very often some waiting time at Za watami. Anyways I like this place and have been there many times now. There is always good and fast service and the food is good. It's like McDonalds. It doesn't matter where you go, the taste is always the same. I like that.

I am recommending Za Watami to every one. This is a perfect place to start a night out. It is not the cheapest Izakaya, but still acceptable and the quality of the food is good. If you want a quiet romantic night out, this is not the best place. It can get a bit noise. You can try all kinds of Japanese and western food here, but do not come here to try out on specific Japanese dish. Come here to have fun and get a lot of food and drinks.
expect the food to be as good as you would get in a specialized restaurant. I mean do not expect the okonimiyaki to be as good as you get at a okonomiyaki restaurant. This is a place where you can get a little bit of everything at once. There are many Izakayas similar to Za watami but this is my favorite. You can have a look at the menu here.
